Contact the Social Security Administation regarding this issue. Good Luck!
Ricky
Yes you can.
Charlene
No, it won’t affect the benefits. People with disabilities who work can earn $900 a month (before taxes) and keep benefits.

my friend got that (and lost the check after she didn’t go to college in time) but yes you can affect the amount or even lose the check…talk to your mom (or guardian)

Yes i belive they will stop, i know this because my 13 year old friend told me that, so yes i belive it will stop, so its best to put the checking in your acouont and go to collage
Charlie
ya she can work and it will not affect because legally she is still not muture, so do’t worry if you getting work just go and catch that one.

It depends on weather you have SSD or SSI. It sounds like your too young to earn enough credits to get SSD so I would say YES it will affect your benefits. Check with the website or go to the office and get pamphlets. It will explain everything. They also will send you information after you are on SS.
Edna
check with social security office because in illinos you can’t collect or you lose your benefit

Social Security Survivors Benefits allow you to earn so much but the amount you can earn is set on a sliding scale so you should check with your local office to find out what the exact dollar amount would be based on what you are currently drawing. Also they will probably ask you to fill out a monthly or yearly report of your earnings.

I would certainly think so, that you can work without it affecting your benefits. If your father worked, that would obviously affect his benefits, but at this point, not yours. Look in your phone book, look up the 800 no. for social security and call them and talk to them, ask them your questions, you can remain anonymous!
