I am widow and going to apply for survivors benefits. They are requesting a copy of my husbands last w-2 which is 18 years ago and I do not have it. He was recieving social security benefits when he died 10 years ago. Will they have his records on file? I am supposed to recieve round 27% of what he was getting.

Because i was not 66 I am limited on what I can earn. My unemployment was going to be over that amount, so when I talked to social security, they said that unemployment is not considered earned income. But does unemployment consider social security earned income?
